Short-Term Stay After Hospital Admission
Patients that have been admitted to a hospital for a minimum of three nights may have the option for a short-term stay in our center to receive 24-hour Nursing care and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy up to seven-days each week. Patients may also request a short-term Respite in-patient stay for periods of a few days to several months.

In-Patient Residential Stay
Patients that require a permanent in-patient stay may be admitted from the Hospital, Assisted Living Facility or Home after receiving an admission order from their primary physician.

Specialty Programs
Our Center is focused on adding specialty clinical programs to better serve patients. In some cases, additional training and education can be provided for staff on specialized equipment and treatment programing that may enhance recovery times.

[review] => My husband was there and the nursing care and meals were adequate but it seemed the management was more concerned with getting his Medicare money than with his rehabilitation. The PT and OT people were good but didn't spend much time with him or didn't work with him because AC was broken in the gym. It was working in his room and the halls so not getting PT enough was sad. He checked out 11 days before they wanted him to and I am thankful that he came home and improved greatly! We would never go there again!

From the ladies at the front entrance who greet you warmly, the administrative staff who answer all your questions, the chefs in the kitchen who prepare the meals and the maintenance and custodians work hard every day to ensure the facility is in working condition and clean – thank you!
Thank you to the nurses and CNA’s who provided excellent patient care with warmth and understanding. The physical and occupational therapists were outstanding and encouraged me from day one! Thank you to everyone at Treyburn who assisted in my recovery.

[review] => I would rather highly recommend the activity department. The therapy department and activity department are the best things going at Treyburn. However, I suggest that an announcement be made when an activity is canceled or changed. It is quite annoying to plan to attend an activity and get there to learn that it is either canceled or changed to something in which I am not interested. Otherwise, Janita and Diane are doing an excellent job. Kudos to them. They are to be commended.

It is about the over payment I made and once insurance settled the refund I am owed. 6 months and no one wants to help me out or care. If I owed them $$ it surely would be a different story. [review] => My mom is currently being rehabbed at Treyburn Rehabilitation, and when I say the entire staff is above and beyond, it’s an understatement! Every single associate at this facility is respectful and kind. A special nurse, Gia, helped my mother, with a scare the first night and refused to leave until my mom was stabilized. The communication has been stellar. The facility is very clean. The OT and PT therapist are excellent and are getting my mom the therapies she needs. This facility was highly recommended by a Duke physician and I am glad we listened!

Hard to believe Duke uses this. Facility is decrepit. Short staffed and they ignore residents. Poor response times of an hour to pushing "need help" button. Borders on abuse by some nurses with yelling orders too common. Rehab patients treated without respect like mental residents. Not recommended for rehab.

I also have a website business, it's carolina appliance repair.
Not even close to a human, injury or any visit at this, point I'll give all the staff 5, five-star rating I feel it's the human nature and people that run it, I was welcomed by a late afternoon, self transport ,the hospital that sent my injury report ,
I won't mention they started it off ,, 100 percent in the wrong direction, horrible,!!!

Was taken there late in the evening, put in a large room with nothing but a cot for a bed, a very small wooden table with 2 wooden straight back chairs to sit in, & a TV. When breakfast was finally brought the next morning it was not eatable, cold as if left out in the snow overnight. Called my son to come get me, take me home.

I'm at a loss as to how to describe this facility. I've told everyone I meet ...don't let your friends or enemies stay here.
It started off bad and got progressively worse from day one. Medicine wasn't provided for 2.5 days then when we got our medicine they asked us to surrender our private meds.
Breakfast every morning was cold Including coffee.
When trying to get assistance it was unbelievable..more than an hour each time. Speaking to Administrative personnel resulted in lip service and no action.promises were never fulfilled.

I went to look at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center. Everyone just seemed to not know what was going on. I don't know if they were short-staffed or just stretched. The food was very bland and the chicken pieces still had some feathers in them. It was not good. It was not a very clean facility. When I walked in the door, there was a dirty diaper laying there in the hall, and there was an odor.

My husband was in this facility for rehab after surgery. He has metastatic prostate cancer that is all over his body. (spine, hips, shoulders, colon, liver etc.) The surgery was an colostomy. It was like pulling teeth to get his meds on time. Very often the nurses were standing with each other chatting and they were annoyed when I asked them to get his pain medicine. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is the laziest bunch of people I have ever seen. We stayed with our mother 24/7 after the first night. They let her walk up and down the hall (she just had knee replacement) at 79 years old. They don't clean the rooms, bathrooms have a strong smell of urine, don't administer pain meds as prescribed by the hospital. Tried to give her tylenol all the time when she should have been given narcotics prescribed by the hospital. was suffering.
Did not put in a light bulb in the bathroom - Mom had to use the bathroom several times during the night IN THE DARK. The aids would not come when the call button was pressed. I can go on and on but this is the worst I have ever seen and I have seen alot. We injured ourselves trying to help her in and out of the bed because the staff would not help. How can this place be Medicaid / Medicare approved and how can Duke refer patients to this place?
We had to do everything for her including putting her in the car to leave. They were upset that we used their wheelchair - they wanted her to walk out after knee replacement. Does this seem normal?
This place set my mother back three days and she is having nightmares now because of this place. Duke sends patients to this place because there are always openings (no one stays if they can help it). That should tell you something as this is the typical sign if the place is below standards.
I would take my loved one home with less care than leave them here with NO CARE.

I am shocked that Duke Med Cen would recommend a place like this.
When call button was pushed, they would take a hour or so to come. They would not help family members turn over patient or help her in anyway without hurting her.
Pain meds were not administered on a timely basis (usually two-three hours after they should have been given to her).
I thought these places only existed in the movies but boy was I wrong. My mother in law would have been better off alone in her house.
I understand that Peak Resources runs this place. I am going to give them a piece of my mind. I had to stay with her 24/7 with other family members. We could not leave her alone but they got paid. This was a true nightmare for my mother in law and the family members having to take care of her.
